A good entry of Otm cattle this week topping at £1069.82 (149ppkg) for a Limousin weighing 718kg from G I Francis & Co, The Bryn. HG Rees Ltd, Hiriaeth, presented a 706kg Limousin making £1023.70 (145ppkg) and another Limousin weighing 745kg making £1020.65 (137ppkg). Cow 48 to 72 months topped at £1642.56 (177ppkg) for a 928kg Limousin from TH& GM Watkins & Son, Cefnllwyd. Heifers under 48 months topped at £1089 (150ppkg) for a 726kg Limousin from G P Vaughan & Son, Dolcorsllwyn.

Otm Cows (x29) averaged 108.57ppkg / £730.99.

Cows 48 to 72 months (x7) averaged 126.46ppkg / £898.05.

Heifers under 48 months (x6) averaged 118.43ppkg / £781.03.

Bulls Under 72 months (x1) averaged 104ppkg / £1258.40.

Otm Bull (x1) averaged 128ppkg / £1273.60.

A similar entry of cull ewes this week to last seeing averages of £46.26 for ewes and £56.75 for rams. Ewes topped at £99 from R A Davies, Llwynderw. CL & C Watkins, Bank Farm, presented a ewe making £97. Cull rams topped at £108 from G Owen & Sons, Tynewydd. DB & SE Owen, Middle Garth, presented two rams making £106.

STORE LAMBS (873)

A good entry of store lambs this week topping at £70 for 5 texel x ewe lambs from E W Howells, Esgair Yr Hydd. Mixed and clean lambs from D W Davies, Penybank, topped at £67. Tup lambs topped at £63.50 from EG & SA Watkin, Pantyfalog.

Theave Lambs (232) averaged £46.48.

Mixed and Clean Lambs (266) averaged £48.24.

Wether lambs (34) averaged £51.85.
