Thanks a million!

Local company Invertek Drives, which employs around 170 people, has manufactured its millionth Variable Frequency Drive.

The company, which was formed in 1998, designs and manufactures easy to use electronic Variable Frequency Drives for controlling the speed of electric motors.

To mark the occasion, MP Glyn Davies joined the staff at its Welshpool HQ where they export 90% of their products overseas.

“Invertek Drives is one of Wales’s most successful businesses, born and firmly rooted in Montgomeryshire,” said Glyn. “It has grown from being a local start-up business into a world-wide, world-renowned exporter employing 170 people in Welshpool and many more around the world.”

Invertek Drives have plans for significant expansion through 2017, and has recently been announced as finalists of this year’s Welsh Business Awards.
