Machinery & cattle sale

Farm machinery and cattle will be going under the auctioneer’s hammer at a farm dispersal sale at Llanfechain on Saturday, June 17.

The sale, which starts at 11am, is being conducted by auctioneers Halls on behalf of Mr G. R. Wilde and Mrs B. O. Wilde following divorce proceedings. The Wilde family has farmed at Aethnen Farm for 54 years.

A useful range of machinery and implements associated with livestock rearing and the production, maintenance and harvesting of grass crops will be on offer. Tractors include a 1978 Ford 4600 Four 4WD, a 1982 John Deere 1640 4WD, a 2006 John Deere 6220 4WD with a 633 front end loader and a 2010 John Deere 6230 4WD with front linkage.

Other lots include a 1989 JCB Site Master digger, two trailers, three Claas forage wagons, a Twose bale handler, Allman sprayer, Taarup West Mac Mower Conditioner 306, Claas mower WM250, two muck spreaders, a 2003 Suzuki Eiger quad bike and a Peugeot 106 car.

A herd of 12 cows and calves, two stock bulls and 21 younger cattle is registered with The Aberdeen Angus Cattle Society and was TB tested on April 25.
