Chance for local businesses
Local businesses are being given the chance to find out more about opportunities of working with Powys Council Council on major contracts at an event in Newtown
The Council is holding the meet the buyer event to expand and build their supply chain, highlighting projects in the area, with a number of different contractors so there will be plenty of opportunity to meet the right people and win work as a result!
The contracts that will be discussed include:
• Domestic Heating Servicing and Maintenance
• Five new primary schools in the Gwernyfed Catchment area
• Home Grown Homes (Wood knowledge Wales)
• Highways opportunities
• Construction of a replacement Brecon High School
• Construction of replacement Ysgol Bro Hyddgen, Machynlleth
• Construction of two new schools, Welshpool catchment (Dawnus)
The event will be at the Elephant and Castle Hotel, Newtown on Monday, September 11, from 9am-3pm. For other events stay up to date on the events section of our website
Construction Futures Wales along with Business Wales, CITB and many more will also be present at the event to discuss potential support for local companies within the construction industry
