Super Lights (173) to 138pp/kg from W Beamond, Cwmcarnedd Uchaf. Others to 127pp/kg from TH Davies and Sons, Clegyrddwr and W Beamond, Cwmcarnedd Uchaf respectively. Average of 128.28pp/kg.
Lights (762) to 180ppkg from DSW Jones and Co, Llwynderw. Others to 177ppkg from LA and SM Lloyd, Severn House. Average of 147.02ppkg.
Standards (1397) to 197ppkg from IE Roberts and Son, Maesdyfnant. Others to 189ppkg from DRE Jones, Offa Farm. Average of 170.71ppkg.
Mediums (2215) to 216ppkg from Red House Farm, Aberhafesp. Others to 214ppkg from TK Robinson, Tynewydd. Average of 182.19ppkg
Heavies (819) to 202ppkg from Red House Farm, Aberhafesp. Others to 192ppkg from GP Pugh and Son, The Garth and EL Evans, Derlwyn respectively. Average of 177.39ppkg
Over Weights (126) to 180ppkg from DM and DI Jerman, Moelywigoedd. Others to 174ppkg from Red House Farm, Aberhafesp. Average of 163.40ppkg.
CULL SHEEP (1607)
A smaller entry of 1528 ewe achieved an average of £43.71. Ewes were in much stronger demand. A pen of 6 texel ewes from Red House Farm, Aberhafesp sold for the days top price of £127. Well fleshed ewes from DH Jones, Llety Cynnes, Bow Street achieved £92.
Well fleshed ewes of all breeds were strongly contested, plenty of Mule ewes surpassed the £80 mark.
Rams averaged £70.64, with JH Jones and Co, Penycefn, Bow Street selling 2 for £118 respectively.
