HR Assistant

U79, Newtown, Powys, UK 

Role Overview:

The HR Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative support to the HRM function and the Company across all aspects of HR, working closely with the HR Advisor (Support services) and HR Business Partners to ensure a high quality of HR Service is delivered to the business and external customers.  The fast-paced nature of this role means that no day is ever the same.
The successful candidate’s main responsibilities will include:

  • Work alongside the HR team to assist with daily tasks & projects maintaining strict confidentiality at all times.
  • Assist in the recruitment process
  • Advise employees on company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and record PDR completion.
  • Pension processing.
  • Prepare and regularly audit personnel files.
  • Ensure data entry onto the HRIS (Snowdrop) is completed to an accurate and high standard.
  • Ensure policies and forms are up to date and available for our employees to use.
  • Schedule training, sending invites and booking training rooms as required.
  • Evaluate the success of training using feedback forms.
  • Assist with the implementation of a new HRIS.
  • Assist with the development of internal training programs.
  • Provide general administration support.
  • Assist with the HR projects

Qualifications, Experience and Profile:

  • A good knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • GCSE level education.
  • Drive and commitment to work towards a higher-level qualification.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness and ability to take ownership and responsibility.
  • Professional with the ability to develop working relationships across all levels.
  • Knowledge of the current HR systems are desirable.
  • Payroll experience would be an advantage but not essential
