A charity night to remember

D-Day is fast approaching for a group of local people bidding to raise money for charity by cycling all the way from Welshpool to Paris.

Staff and customers at our fitness partners, Great Fitness, are training hard for the gruelling challenge which will see them cycle over 350 miles in just four days from April 24.

Money raised will go towards Blossom’s Legacy and Sport Relief and to boost coffers, organisers are hosting a big night out on February 17 with a three-course meal, promise auction and music from Dai Robs at the Royal Oak.

“Tickets, priced at £35, are selling fast so anyone who would like to come and support this fantastic cause is welcome to visit us at Great Fitness for tickets,” said Chris Greatorex.

“We also want to secure as many prizes as we can so if any companies out there would be willing to donate something then please let us know on 01938 559007. All money raised at our auction will also go towards the final total for our two wonderful charities.”
