Showtime in Guilsfield!

07/08/2019 @ 12:31

Big crowds are expected for one of our favourite day’s out of the year tomorrow, but the Guilsfield Show fun starts tonight with a trail run through the woods.

After nine months of planning, organisers say everything is now in place for the show which has gained a fine reputation as well as raising vital funds for local charities.

Running since 1932, the show hosts horse, dog, poultry, sheep and show jumping competitions whilst the main marquee will be full of entries for the art, cookery, horticulture, flowers, floral art and Photography classes.

There will be over 40 trade stands, various exhibits, classic car and vintage farm machinery parades along with a wide range of food stalls.

The show concludes at 5pm with a Musicfest and bar until 9pm featuring local artists.

Show Chair, Matthew Kneale, said: “We have already held a well-attended President’s Ginfest and last Sunday over 170 people attended a wonderful Charity Lunch.

“On Wednesday evening we have our Trail run at 6pm which this year features a four and two-mile run and a shorter children’s run.

“As always we look forward to the enormous support of our local community and from visitors further afield on the day to make our charity donations as large as possible.”
