Jenny’s ‘purrrrfect’ fundraiser

Created on 02/11/2021 @ 09:58

It is always a pleasure to share news about youngsters doing their bit for charity and we throw the spotlight on another caring local girl who is doing her bit for good causes.

Jenny, 10 from Montgomery, makes origami cards and sells them through various local outlets and regularly donates a portion of her profit to a chosen charity.

This week she has donated £100 to the local branch of Cats Protection, where six kittens and a mummy cat received it with pleasure.

Jenny said: “I have a rescue cat at home, so it’s lovely to know that other cats will be helped to get their second chance too.”

Jenny’s cards, sold under the name Okami Makes, are available via outlets in Montgomery, Bishop’s Castle and Welshpool, and online via her Okami Makes Facebook page.

She will also be selling her cards and special Christmas designs at the Montgomery Christmas Festival on Saturday, November 27.

Jenny’s next chosen charity will be the Montgomeryshire Family Crisis Centre.
