An incredible exhibition that is set to be shown in Welshpool for the entire month of September has already attracted ticket bookings from across the UK.

The Longest Yarn is a unique depiction of life in Britain during World War 2 through the medium of wool, and is currently half way through a UK tour.

It will be exhibited in the Town Hall, and its lead organiser Alan Crowe has put out a call for volunteers to make it a success.

“Volunteer stewards are wanted and anyone interested can call me on 07782166342 or alan60s@live.com,” he said.

“On checking advance ticket sales today I noticed people have booked tickets from as far as Tarporley in Cheshire, Lampeter in South West Wales, Loughborough in Leicestershire as well as more local areas like Oswestry, Aberystwyth, Shrewsbury and Telford.

“It looks like it is going to be very popular and a great attraction to bring people into the town.”

Advance tickets are now available via the website www.longestyarnwelshpool.co.uk
