Fishermen and women are flocking to Montgomeryshire in their thousands this year, and Instagram has proved that the area is a great catch!
New research has revealed that Lake Vyrnwy is the sixth most ‘Instagrammable’ place to fish in the UK.
The team at Fishing Republic have analysed the number of Instagram posts of the UK’s best fishing locations to determine a top 10.
While ‘The Lake’ has been posted 26,665 times over the period to be the only Wales location on the list, Scotland is sitting pretty at the top with Loch Lomond enjoying a whopping 557,046 posts in the social media platform.
Rutland Water in Leicestershire is second and Scotland is also in third with the River Tay in Perthshire coming in third.
