A club that has spent decades carrying our community work in and around the Welshpool area is on the lookout for new members.
Welshpool Rotary Club says they want to take on more important projects, but dwindling numbers are inhibiting what they can and can’t do.
“The more members we have the more projects we can take on for the benefit of our local community, and perhaps a little further away!” a spokesperson told us.
“If you are bored with retirement, stressed out at work, looking for something positive and constructive to do, want to widen your social circle, then give us a shout!”
Anyone over the age of 18 is welcome and can contact the club via Facebook or through 07803 038858.
Meanwhile, charismatic Montgomery Town Crier Sue Blower (pictured), joined members for their recent meeting to highlight the upcoming National Competition to be held in Montgomery in September.
Also, Bill Rowell was installed as the new Vice President and is pictured above with Wendy Beaven, President.
