A chance to recognise your community champions!

Welshpool Town Council has launched its 2025 Community Awards, with nominations now being taken to recognise those who go above and beyond for the people of the town.

This year, four awards will be presented to local people who have either shown exceptional voluntary service over many years or achieved something particularly special for the town.

The Community Awards are open to anyone who has carried out their good work or made a significant impact within the Welshpool community area. Councillors and employees of Welshpool Town Council are not eligible for nomination.

Winners will be announced following the Mayor’s Civic Service on Sunday, June 1. The day will begin with a church service at St Mary’s Church, followed by the official presentation of the Community Awards in the Assembly Rooms at Welshpool Town Hall.
