Entertainment revealed for Welshpool Carnival

16/06/2025 @ 09:34

It’s looking like another packed afternoon of fun and entertainment when Welshpool Carnival will be held this coming Sunday.

The Town Council have confirmed that once again it will be a free event, but donations are “gratefully received for future events”.

The day will get into gear with a procession, starting at 12 noon, which will leave from Welshpool High Street (opposite Andrews Fish and Chip shop) and parade straight down to Maes-y-dre Recreation Ground.

The afternoon will see a variety of charity, community and food stalls and entertainment in the arena for the whole family from 1pm-5pm.

Family fun entertainment includes a BMX Stunt Show, Funfair, Falconer, and Montgomery Energy Group’s free bike scheme is back again this year.

There is a face painter and balloon modeler, all free of charge, and the Mid Wales Classic Vehicle Club will also be on the field with much more.

“There is still time to get involved throughout the day!” a Town Council spokesperson said. “Why not take part in the parade by creating a themed float or walk in the parade? You could raise money for your organisation by having a stall at the recreation ground. Or if you are a dance group, singing group, gymnastics, choir etc, come and take part in the arena between 1.15pm-5pm. Be sure to book with us as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.”
