Appeal following Sunday’s fatal bike collision

Police officers from across the border are appealing for information following a fatal collision on the A458 road to Shrewsbury at the weekend.

Around 6.30pm on Sunday, a tractor and a motorbike collided on the at Rowton. Sadly, the passenger on the motorbike, a 56-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The motorbike rider, a 59-year-old man, is in hospital with serious injuries which are not deemed to be life-threatening or life changing.

Officers are asking for anyone who witnessed the collision, or has relevant dashcam footage, and has not yet spoken to police to get in touch through SCIUNorth@westmercia.police.uk.
