Pub’s Merry Christmas after massive charity effort

One of Welshpool’s popular pubs has raised a huge amount for charity this year, and said it will be rolling up its sleeves to do it all again in 2026.

The Owl & Pussycat handed over a whopping £5,000 to Montgomeryshire Parkinsons Society by holding a weekly quiz and bingo night at the pub.

“We would like to thank everyone who has come to the nights and helped us to raise so much money,” said owners Alan and Becky Price. “And the good news is, we intend to do it all again in 2026 and this time supporting Dementia Welshpool.”
