Welshpool Town Council is inviting residents, groups and businesses to get involved in planning this year’s Carnival – with a public working group meeting taking place this Saturday (April 25) at 10am in the Town Hall.
Following last year’s Carnival, the Council said that it carried out a public survey to gather feedback from those who attended. While many people highlighted the strong community spirit and enjoyed elements such as the BMX stunt show and family activities, the feedback also made clear that there is appetite to make the event bigger, more vibrant and better promoted.
“The Council is keen to build on this feedback and work collaboratively with the community to deliver a refreshed and improved Carnival for 2026,” a spokesperson said. “Attendees will have the opportunity to share ideas, help shape the format of the event, and play a role in bringing the Carnival to life.”
If you can’t make it and you still want to give your thoughts, email office@welshpooltowncouncil.gov.uk with your ideas.
The Carnival is set to take place on Saturday, June 27, with a theme of ‘sports’.
