Llandrinio Bridge reopens

Llandrinio Bridge has reopened after being closed with structural damage during flooding - but with weight and width restrictions.
The bridge on the B4393, which was closed earlier this month for safety reasons after bad weather and flooding caused damage to the stone-work, reopened today (Tuesday).
Cabinet Member for Powys Highways, Councillor John Brunt said: “The bridge reopened to light traffic at 11am and is operating with a 7.5t weight limit and a 2.5m width restriction.
“Diversions will still have to operate for vehicles that exceed the weight and width limits.
"The condition of the bridge along with the weight and width restriction will be reviewed as soon as possible when weather conditions allow. Further details will be provided in due course," he added.
