Police appeal after dog hit and run

19/09/2017 @ 08:03

Following our story yesterday, police have confirmed that they are investigating an incident at Four Crosses on Saturday which resulted in the sad death of a pet dog.

We reported how a dog owner had been left heartbroken following the incident when the dog was allegedly clipped by a white van in the Foxen Manor area, and then, unbelievably, the van is said to have reversed to hit the dog again.

Sadly, despite friends coming to their aid, the dog died at the vets.

“Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident on Foxen Manor Road in Four Crosses on Saturday morning,” a spokesperson told us last night. “A white van collided with a dog which was being walked by its owner. Unfortunately, the dog died as a result of the collision.

“Please call 101 if you witnessed the incident or have any information to provide to PC 281 Bailie at Welshpool Police Station.”
