Crosses go top
Four Crosses have taken over at the top of the Montgomeryshire Amateur League following a dramatic day of action at the weekend.
Crosses won 5-1 at Llanfyllin Town, moving top after Guilsfield Reserves were held 2-2 by unbeaten Bishop’s Castle to leave just three points separating the top three.
Maesyrhandir and Trewern shared six goals in the league’s only other game played.
In the Honda Two division, Forden United kept their 100% league record intact with a 2-0 win at Newtown Wanderers. Trefonen remain third after beating Churchstoke Reserves 4-2.
In the Central Wales Cup, fourth round, there were wins for Waterloo Rovers and Llanfair United.
