Police chief to meet Town Council

28/02/2018 @ 10:10

Dyfed-Powys Police and Crime Commissioner Dafydd Llewelyn will be attending tonight’s full Town Council meeting at the Town Hall, it has been confirmed.

There have been widespread concerns since the turn of the year about the spate of break-ins and vandalism, particularly broken shop windows, in the town centre.

And while the public won’t be able to ask any questions, they can attend and observe. The meeting will get underway at 7pm.

One of the issues on the agenda tonight includes the proposal to install new CCTV at the Maesydre playing fields following anti-social problems there.

Another item to discuss is the proposal to replace the town’s hanging baskets, which cost more than £2,000 in man hours to water annually, with weather resistant silk planted baskets.
