Not too late for flu jab

As the Welshpool area continues to shiver under the coldest temperatures of the winter, Welshpool Medical Centre is urging eligible residents that it is not too late for the flu jab.

He surgery still has 50 vaccinations remaining which can be taken up for free by residents who are:

·         Anyone over 65 years of age

·         Pregnant

·         Anybody with an underlying health condition or a weakened immune system.

“Even though we are into March, getting protected is still important,” a spokesperson told us.

Vaccine appointments are available from 8am-5.45 pm Monday to Friday.
