For those who have to travel Powys County Council Highways Department has just issued the following list of updates on road conditions.

The advice is still only travel if you really have to.

A458 – Welshpool to Middletown – OK

A458 – Welshpool to Mallwyd single carriageway in 4 area’s – snow blower required, we are looking to get the Welshpool blower there this morning.

A483 – Newtown to Llaithdu – single carriageway in parts crews still trying to open this with ploughs and have requested a digger this morning to assist.

A459 – Newtown to Caersws – OK

A470 – Llanidloes to Rhayader – OK

A470 – Moat Lane (Caersws) to Llanidloes single carriageway in one section due to drifting snow

A470 – Caersws to Llanbrynmair 75% single carriageway

A470 – Llanbrynmair to Mallwyd OK

A489 – Cemmaes to Machynlleth OK

A487 – Machynlleth to Derwenlas OK
