Free haircuts for all!
After being impressed by the tremendous community spirit shown during the past few days’ icy blast, Billie Bob’s Barbers in the town centre has announced free haircuts for all tomorrow.
“For the last few days I have been reading about the good deeds that have happened in the town and surrounding areas,” said Brian Jenkins, who originates from Shrewsbury.
“It’s a great town. Everyone has been so helpful. I have only been open here six months but I am glad that I opened in Welshpool.
“Strangers have been helping to clear the snow and push cars, and the workers have been out day and night fighting the weather.
“The post guys fighting to get through and opening longer. People travelling about in 4x4's picking up strangers and dropping off food. Farmers finding time to go out helping and still trying to look after livestock in this crazy weather.
“It’s been tremendous community spirit which I want to keep going. So on Monday, I will be in the shop giving free haircuts all day to everyone!”
Brian can expect a busy day and said he will be open from 10am-6pm.
