Doctors apology over ‘major’ phone problems

Welshpool Medical Centre has issued an apology after patients reported problems trying to get through on its phone line.

While the problems look set to continue, the Centre said that it is trying to resolve the issues as a matter of urgency.

A spokesperson told us this afternoon: “Welshpool Medical Centre is experiencing major phone line disruption at the present time. We are working within the guidance of our business continuity plan and a divert has been placed on our phone line.

“Please can our patients continue to use our main line number of 01938 553118. There may be a slight delay.

“Apologies for any inconvenience and upset that this may be causing our patients.

“Our telecommunications team are working with us to resolve our issues as a matter of urgency.”
