Twenty-one players from Welshpool Rugby Club are going to be tackling the ‘Welsh 3 Peaks Challenge’ on Saturday to raise funds for Wales Air Ambulance as well as the club.
The Challenge includes a total walking distance of 17 miles (27.4km) and an ascent of 2,334 metres (7657ft) in less than 24 hours. This will involve scaling Snowdon, Cadair Idris and Pen Y Fan.
The players are funding their own transport so all donations will go to the two causes.
Those taking part all have sponsorship forms and there is also a Just Giving page: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/wrufcwelsh3peaks
