Beckham’s Mid Wales advert released

13/09/2018 @ 11:17

Money couldn’t buy the type of exposure that global superstar David Beckham is about to provide north Montgomeryshire!

Last year, the former Manchester United star stunned residents in Llanrhaeadr by landing his helicopter on the village’s football pitch, with rumours that he had been filming a commercial in the area.

Now all can be revealed with the new men’s skincare range Acquapower from Biotherm Homme being launched globally with an advert filmed at some of our favourite landmarks.

The moody atmospheric ad shot in black and white, sees the style guru power through the roads of Mid Wales on a motorbike, via the stunning bridge at Lake Vyrnwy finishing up with a soaking at Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall (pictured), near Llanrhaeadr.

Beckham, who is the first global ambassador for Biotherm Homme, the men’s branch of the L'Oréal-owned Parisian skincare brand, called the waterfall “ridiculously beautiful” on his Instagram account that has 50 million followers.

Llanrhaeadr is no stranger to the world of A-listers with Hugh Grant spending considerable time there in the mid-1990’s filming the critically acclaimed “The Englishman who went up a hill but came down a mountain” 20 years ago.
