Beauty spot dumping getting worse

More photographs have been taken that show one of our favourite beauty spots has been transformed into a tip.

Over the past month, an area we have previously highlighted on the Offa’s Dyke path close to Leighton has become even worse with washing machines, fridges, the contents of a children’s bedroom and bags for life full of rubbish have been left.

An area of exceptional beauty has become a dump, and it is infuriating regular users of the track.

“It’s disgusting,” said Suzanne Sheppard, who was running in Leighton Woods with a friend and sent us these pictures. “It looks very much like someone has moved house or redecorated recently as there are paint pots too!

“I just can’t believe the effort that some people have made to get it up there. The mess by the road and through the woods close by is very sad.”
