ALERT: Thieves strike cars at The Flash tonight

Drivers who have parked at The Flash tonight are being urged to check their belongings after thieves struck using what appears to be a smart key to gain access.

At least two vehicles were accessed, a Ford Transit and a Seat car, with thousands of pounds’ worth of computer equipment and a drill among the items taken.

One of the victims was playing football on the all-weather while the other was with his daughter inside the leisure centre. It is thought to have happened between 7.15pm-7.45pm. Both vehicles were parked in the bottom car park closer to the high school.

Police were on the scene tonight and if you saw anyone suspicious around that time, or have realised something was taken from your car, you should contact them on 101.
