Town Hall hit by flooding

Our local emergency services are working hard to stay on top of the problems being caused by the ongoing storm.

Heavy rain continues to drench the area, causing numerous flood problems in and around the town hall with three properties affected so far.

“We have been busy pumping water at the town hall and surrounding properties along with our colleagues from Llanfair Caereinion,” said a spokesperson for Welshpool Fire Station.

Heavy rain is expected to continue for most of the next 24 hours across our area, with standing water on roads also causing problems for motorists.
