Church Bank to be closed for two nights

Workers tweaking Welshpool’s one-way system are cracking on, but it means more town centre disruption over the next 48 hours.

Church Bank between Union Street (by the purebeauty) and Red Bank will be closed tonight and tomorrow from 7pm to 6am.

Residents are being warned that work will be noisy early on tonight, but motorists will still be able to come down Red Bank and turn left.

Also today, the Brook Street barriers will switch sides today so that traffic can travel on the Ballards Garage side of the road. It is possible that the right turn from Jehu Road could open later today also, with all work on Brook Street and the Sainsbury’s side of Jehu Street completed tomorrow.
