Concern over missing cats

There are growing concerns after the Welshpool owner of a missing cat has revealed that it is not the only one.

Claire Watkins has been looking for her beloved Marmalade (pictured) for five weeks, but in that time she has been contacted by other local owners who have also recently lost their cats.

Her friend, Sarah Wigley, contacted us to raise awareness and said: “Claire has been posting about Marmalade on Facebook for five weeks now and in that time she has been contacted by others whose cats have also gone missing.

“It is really concerning as we know of at least three other missing cats in the Welshpool area.”

Claire lives near St. Mary’s Church and Marmalade is known to frequent the Red Bank area.

“She is worried sick about him, as are the other people with their missing cats. Hopefully we can raise awareness and someone can help,” said Sarah.
