Still on target for July 29 finish
The long awaited return for the back road to revert back to two-way traffic is still on target for the end of the month.
Town clerk, Robert Robinson, has released the following update on behalf of the contractors.
· Works to Jehu Road/Brook Street junction completed by July 29.
· Works to Union Street to continue - completion no later than July 29
· Works to Church Bank completed
· Works to junction by NFU and into Church Street – commenced, with completion no later than July 29
· Narrowing of carriageway and widening of paths by Town Hall - starting Monday (possible if weather good Sunday) - completion by July 29
· Jehu Road/High Street juction - continuing works, completion no later than July 29
· Re-opening of Brook Street/Union Street along its full length to two-way traffic by July 29
Signage and lining alterations will continue as the works come to an end. This will include double yellow lines extended by Dol Y Felin.
