Man suffers ‘life changing’ injuries in Guilsfield assault

Police have launched an investigation into a serious assault at Garth Vaughan, Guilsfield, (also known as ‘the flats) at around 3.30pm yesterday (Sunday).

Plenty of police activity was witnessed in the area and an air ambulance landed in a field nearby and, today, Dyfed-Powys Police have revealed that a man in his 60s was airlifted to hospital with serious head and neck injuries, which are being described as life changing. 

A 48-year-old man from the area has been arrested on suspicion of assault in connection to the incident. He remains in police custody. 

There will be an increased police presence in the area as officers carry out house-to-house enquiries.
