Guilsfield Primary School has been earmarked as the site for a new £208,000 facility for three-year-olds.
Plans seen by MyWelshpool show the state-of-the-art facility will be constructed at the front of school, close to where the cricket club’s sheds are located.
A spokesperson for Powys County Council confirmed: “The Welsh Government awarded the council a total of £208,000 of Childcare Offer capital funding for the provision of new mobile three-year-old childcare offer facilities. These new facilities are proposed to be located on Guilsfield CP School site.
“The project is in the early stages of design with a view to commissioning the new facilities for us in Spring and Summer 2020, subject to securing all statutory approvals.”
