Multiple vehicles still caught up in flood water

Despite issuing a plea earlier in the day, our overstretched local firefighters were called out last night to more vehicles stranded in the flood waters.

Following Thursday night’s torrential rain that continued into Friday, Welshpool Fire Station put out an appeal asking motorists: “Please do not ignore road closures and enter flood water.”

But the station was forced to take to social media again last night to highlight that despite the appeal, vehicles were still getting stuck.

Publishing a couple of pictures (including this one, right), the station simply wrote: “Multiple vehicles caught up in flood water this evening in the Llandrinio area.”
