Three hurt in Tuesday night smash

Three people were hurt following a head-on collision between two cars on the road to Berriew late on Tuesday night.

Emergency services attended the scene close to Moat Farm at around 11.15pm, and fire fighters were required to release occupants whilst working closely with Welsh Ambulance Service and Montgomeryshire Emergency Doctors.

Two people were taken to hospital while a third was allowed home.

The road remained closed into the early hours with the fire fighters returning to station at around 2.30am.
