Two injured at Livestock Market

Two men were hospitalised with injuries which are believed to be serious following an incident at Welshpool Livestock Market on Monday.

The Health & Safety Executive has confirmed it is involved following the incident which involved a cow.

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called on January 13 at approximately 9.24am to reports of two patients needing medical attention at Welshpool Livestock Market, Welshpool. We responded with two emergency ambulances and the crew were supported by Wales Air Ambulance. Two patients were transported by road to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.”

A Wales Air Ambulance spokesperson confirmed its Welshpool-based aircraft attended the "agricultural incident" and that its flying medics treated patients at the scene.
