It’s been one of our most read community stories, and now we can confirm that 'Mr Nice' DPD delivery driver, Charanjit Singh, has been recognised with an “Amazing” award from his employer.

Charanjit has been delivering cheer, as well as his parcels, to the Welshpool area for the last couple of years and earlier this week an online campaign was launched by grateful customers to show their appreciation.

And now his company has acknowledged the show of support with a rewarding pat on the back.

Simon Barlow from DPD’s Oldbury depot said: “Charanjit Singh is a top delivery driver and we regularly get messages from his customers praising him.

“Our Amazing Awards are just meant to be a little ‘thank you’ to recognise those people who go ‘above and beyond’ for customers.

“It shows that people really appreciate what the guys do day in, day out and it is fantastic to know how much they are valued.”

DPD’s “Amazing” award winners receive a special mug and a small gift or cash bonus, as well as the kudos in the depot and their achievements being broadcast on the DPD website.
