New Mobile Library introduced

Created on 11/05/2011 @ 12:37

A new mobile library has taken to the roads in North Powys.

The van holds a wide range of books and audiovisual material for adults and children and takes the council's library service out to rural communities in North Montgomeryshire. The new van replaces the previous vehicle and joins three other mobile libraries which together cover 38 routes throughout Powys.

Cllr Gwyn Gwillim, Powys County Council's Board Member for Libraries, said: "We are pleased to introduce this new van which will continue the service being provided in North Powys. The service particularly benefits those in rural areas who may not otherwise have the chance to visit one of our branch libraries."
