Oh no! Floods return to cause Welshpool chaos again

Welshpool has woken up to yet more flooding with constant overnight rain causing already swollen rivers to break their banks again.

Motorists are being advised of blocked roads and dangerous driving conditions on both major and minor roads in the area.

The Severn is in full flood with the Welshpool-Forden Road again closed near the Montgomeryshire Airport with Brandy Cottage and Y Brandy again swamped. Residents of both properties are already living upstairs following severe flood damage last week.

There are also problems in the Llandrinio area again with the Shrewsbury road closed and motorists facing long diversions.

MyWelshpool viewers tell us that the Welshpool-Oswestry road remains open.

Minor roads are hazardous with water pouring off already sodden fields and there are reports of landslides in numerous locations.
