Welshpool primary school closed tomorrow
The £12 million facility on Salop Road has been open to children of key workers whilst the rest have been learning from home, but the school says that from tomorrow “until further notice” the school will be closed.
The school announced on Facebook: “Regretfully, we will have to close the school from tomorrow (Thursday 4th) until further notice as the phones are still not working.
“The decision has not been taken lightly, and is with the agreement of the governing body and the local authority.
“Remote learning will continue via Google Classrooms, but the live check-ins will not be able to take place. We hope that we will be able to reopen as soon as possible, and we will keep you informed via Facebook, email and text.
“We are expecting an engineer tomorrow, and if the issue is resolved, we may be able to reopen on Friday 5th February. We apologise for the inconvenience.”
