A Welshpool farmer is seeking retrospective planning permission for a log cabin construction business.

The business has been established by Mr Nick Jones of Gaer Farm, Golfa, Welshpool, who is now seeking planning permission from Powys County Council.

Mr Jones is asking the authority for change of use of part of an agricultural building to enable the construction of log cabins and change of use of an agricultural building to a sawmill.

In the application Roger Parry & Partners, acting for Mr Jones, state that the business could offer employment for up to 10 fulltime staff.
