MyDentist issues new statement

After more criticism following the reissuing of their summer statement yesterday, MyDentist has provided another update on the dire situation that patients are facing in the town.

Cancellations and mixed-messaging have been widespread in recent weeks as Welshpool residents struggled to see a dentist.

But after MyWelshpool again contacted the national chain yesterday to ask for more clarity regarding cancellations, the company issued the following this morning.

A spokesperson said: “We apologise to any patients who we haven’t been in touch with yet to rebook their postponed routine appointment and we would like to reassure them that we will be in contact soon.

“During the pandemic the practice has been inundated with patients who need immediate and emergency dental treatment. The practice team is working incredibly hard to see as many patients as possible, but to cope with this unprecedented demand we have had to make the difficult decision to postpone some routine appointments. We’re sorry to any patients this has impacted.”
