Dyfed-Powys Police have confirmed the heartbreaking news that a male driver sadly died in this morning’s crash that has resulted in the main road to Llanfyllin remaining closed less than a mile from the Guilsfield junction.
The accident happened at around 8am this morning with emergency services immediately in attendance, but sadly it has been confirmed that the male driver of one of the vehicles died at the scene.
Police are now appealing for witnesses.
“Dyfed-Powys Police is investigating a three-vehicle road traffic collision which occurred at approximately 8am this morning (Tuesday) on the A490 near Guilsfield.
“Sadly the male driver of one of the vehicles died at the scene. Next of kin have been advised and are being supported by specialist officers.
“The road remains closed with diversions in place. Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.”
