Welshpool’s iconic Town Hall clock is back in working order after weeks of time literally standing still.

Electricity was cut to the iconic building last month, causing a weekend of disruption for the market hall, but its clock was a long term casualty.

However, last night, Town Mayor, Cllr Alison Davies, confirmed that it was back in working order.

“As promised, Smiths of Derby came yesterday: They came, they saw and they mended the clock! It’s working again,” she said.
