Parents have been asked to fork out an extra pound a month for their children’s swimming lessons in 2022.
The annual rise was confirmed last night through an email to parents with the monthly fee now being £25.20 per child for 30 minutes a week of pool time tuition, up from £24.20.
The company that runs the Flash Leisure Centre explained wage inflation and increased costs have forced their arm.
“Like many organisations we are facing increasing costs from the impact of wage inflation and rising supplier and energy costs,” the company stated.
“We work very hard to control our costs and lessen their impact on the service we provide, with our focus always on delivering value for money to the community and maintaining facilities and a service you deserve.
“We do review our prices regularly, and with effect from January 2022 your monthly direct debit payment will be changing to £25.20.”
