Tractor run raises nearly £5k

Nearly £5,000 has been raised from the Charity Illuminated Christmas Tractor Run that roared through the Welshpool area last Sunday.

Over 80 tractors lit up in Christmas lights travelled in convoy on a 30-mile route starting and finishing at Welshpool Livestock Sales.  

Thousands turned out to support and £4,883.50 was collected for the DPJ Foundation who provide vital mental health support to the farming community.

“The Tractor run was a huge success and we are very overwhelmed by how popular it was. Thank-you everyone who supported it!” said organiser, Jenny Clarke.

“We will be back next year to do it all again. Bigger and better… with a lot more collection buckets. Thank you all!”
