Students seek divine answers

Students heading into their exam season took the opportunity to pose tricky questions to a pair of local representatives from Welshpool churches.

The Year 11 pupils at Welshpool High School welcomed Reverend Adam Pawley, from St Mary’s Church, and Keith Fanthom, from The Baptist Church, into their Ethical Studies classes.

“We were fortunate that they took time out of their busy daily schedules to come in to speak with pupils during their timetabled lessons,” said a school spokesperson.

“In preparation for their upcoming exams, pupils were given the opportunity to ask questions about the Christian responses to a variety of ethical questions.

“Pupils engaged very well, enjoyed asking challenging questions and responded well in discussions about their points of view. We look forward to welcoming them again into Welshpool High School.”
