Covid-19 test kits still available

The county council is reminding residents that despite changes to the law and guidance on Covid-19, lateral flow test (LFT) kits are still available to collect in the Welshpool area for those who are eligible. 

As part of a pilot scheme from Welsh Government, LFT kits are still available to collect from Powys libraries for residents who meet the following criteria.

• a doctor or specialist has said you're eligible for new Covid-19 treatments https://gov.wales/covid-19-treatments
• you are going to visit someone eligible for new Covid-19 treatments
• your GP or healthcare professional asks you to take a test
• you have Covid-19 and want to check if your test result is still positive after day five – family/friends should collect on your behalf.

Residents suffering from any Covid-19 symptoms should not visit a library to collect kits and can instead access kits either online https://www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests or by calling 119.
